Senator CAMPBELL —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

    (a)notes the massive increase in taxes on petrol;

    (b)condemns the primitive and discriminatory nature of these taxes on those who live in remote areas, and specifically those who live in the Kimberley, Pilbara and southern coastal regions of Western Australia, who will bear an unfair burden of this rapacious tax slug; and

    (c)change the name of the fuel tax to the hidden goods and service tax as it increases the cost of all goods and services in Australia without compensation for those on low incomes or living in remote areas.
