Senator FAULKNER (Manager of Government Business in the Senate) —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  (1)That the days of meeting of the Senate from Tuesday, 17 August 1993, for the remainder of the Budget sittings, be as follows:

  Tuesday 17 August to Thursday 19 August

Monday 30 August to Thursday 2 September

Monday 6 September and Tuesday 7 September

Monday 27 September to Thursday 30 September

Tuesday 5 October to Thursday 7 October

Monday 18 October to Thursday 21 October

Tuesday 26 October to Thursday 28 October

Tuesday 16 November to Thursday 18 November

Monday 22 November to Thursday 25 November

Tuesday 7 December to Thursday 9 December

Monday 13 December to Thursday 16 December

  (2)That the hours of meeting and routine of business for Week 1 apply to the weeks commencing on Monday 30 August, Monday 27 September, Monday 18 October, Tuesday 16 November and Tuesday 7 December, except for:

    (a)Monday 30 August, Monday 27 September and Monday 18 October, when the hours of meeting of the Senate on those days shall be 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. and the routine of business shall be the same as for a Monday in week two; and

    (b)Thursday, 2 September when the hours of meeting of the Senate shall be 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and the routine of business shall be:

    (i)Questions

    (ii)Petitions

    (iii)Notices of motion

    (iv)Tabling of Government documents

    (v)Discovery of formal business

  (3)The hours of meeting and routine of business of Week 2 apply to the weeks commencing on Monday 6 September, Tuesday 5 October, Tuesday 26 October, Monday 22 November and Monday 13 December, except for Tuesday, 31 August when the hours of meeting of the Senate shall be 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. and the routine of business shall be:

    (a)Questions

    (b)Petitions

    (c)Notices of motion

    (d)Tabling of Government documents

    (e)Discovery of formal business
