Senator FAULKNER (Manager of Government Business in the Senate) —by leave—I move:

(1)That general business and consideration of committee reports and government responses be not proceeded with this day.

(2)That the order of Business for the remainder of this day be as follows:

  (a)Government Business, Order of the day No. 1—Appropriation and Supply Bills;

  (b)messages from the House of Representatives;

  (c)valedictory speeches, without any question before the Chair;

  (d)presentation of Government responses to Parliamentary committee reports;

  (e)consideration of Government documents tabled earlier this day;

  (f)tabling of documents; and

  (g)at 10.30 p.m., adjournment.

I will speak just briefly to the motion. It has been generally agreed in the chamber. I appreciate the cooperation of all honourable senators involved, and I think we should just get on with it.

  Question resolved in the affirmative.
