Senator TEAGUE (11.53 a.m.) —I take the opportunity of asking the Minister about Port Pirie. I have interjected a couple of times about the importance of regional radio and television in my own State. I am aware of the ABC's interests in Port Pirie, and I just take that as one example of decentralised initiatives within the ABC. Are you confident that adequate resources are available for regional broadcasting, and that the ABC is living up to its proper mandate to ensure that those who live in regional areas, remote from our capital cities, are receiving the very best from the ABC?

The CHAIRMAN —Before I call Senator Sherry, I just mention that Senator Collins will be further delayed, so after this question it might be better if we deal with the next committee report.
