Senator McMULLAN (Minister for the Arts and Administrative Services) (10.11 p.m.) —It is getting a bit hypothetical for me, but there could be circumstances in which that might be the appropriate outcome. I would not expect it to be the normal outcome. There are so many diverse organisations of different size, structure and complexity that a circumstance in which that would be the appropriate outcome is conceivable, although I would not expect it to be the norm. But we are hypothesising, really. To try to be helpful, that is about as far as I can go.


The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN —We will move on to program 6 of the Department of the Treasury which is taxation administration. The first item is scrutiny of the Australian Taxation Office in relation to alleged computer fraud on the part of two or more ATO employees.
