Senator CROWLEY (Minister for Family Services and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Status of Women) (8.49 p.m.) —In answer to the first part of the question, I am not aware of any of the councils indicating that kind of difficulty. I am advised that a report is going to the COAG meeting on 8 June. That should assist the States and Commonwealth in the matter that Senator Macdonald has just raised. That is very much a matter I imagine the States will be bringing. The date of the letter, which I failed to give Senator Macdonald—I beg your pardon—was 4 February 1993. While I know that politics is played at any time—he can find one part of the Labor Party policy that I might not be hot about—I simply remind him of his reputation in his party's policy in the last election campaign.
