Senator NEWMAN (12.41 p.m.) —It would appear—maybe for some reason unknown to me—that the department is not up to date. The break-up that is given does not indicate any presence of people from Cambodia, from what is now Bosnia, or from the CIS—formerly the USSR. As I understand it, there is a very high incidence of TB in the countries from which those people are coming. In fact, we have had reported cases of people born in those countries who are contracting TB in Australia. I just do not feel that these figures are an accurate reflection of what is really happening.
