Senator GARETH EVANS (Leader of the Government in the Senate) —by leave—I inform the Senate that the Minister for Trade, Senator Cook, is overseas on trade business. He will be absent from Question Time for the remainder of this week. During his absence questions relating to his portfolio, as well as questions on matters within the portfolio of primary industries and energy and resources, normally represented in the Senate by him, should be directed to me. I also inform the Senate that Senator Schacht is overseas representing the Australian Government at Eritrea's independence celebrations in Asmara. He will return on 29 May. During Senator Schacht's absence, questions relating to the industry, technology and regional development portfolio should be directed to Senator Ray, questions relating to environment, sport and territories should be directed to Senator Richardson, and Senator Bolkus will take questions on tourism.
