Senator LEES (Deputy Leader of the Australian Democrats) —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

  (a)notes with concern:

    (i)the current shortage of mental health services in rural Australia, and

    (ii)the continuing damage being caused by such a shortage, given the increasing need for these services as a consequence of the current economic crisis facing much of rural Australia; and

  (b)calls on the Government to take immediate steps to remedy this disgraceful situation.
