To the Honourable the President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens of Australia respectfully showeth:

That residents of Pontypool, Wales, have been exposed to unreasonable health risks by the incineration in their environment of toxic waste products including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs);

That it is unacceptable for the Australian Government to permit the Western Australian Government to dispose of such toxic waste products by exporting them to Pontypool, Liverpool, or other overseas venues;

That it behoves Australian governments to compel the producers of such waste products to meet the costs of disposal in Australia.

And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
