Senator WALTERS —I seek leave to make a personal explanation. I claim that Senator Robert Ray misrepresented me.

Senator Robert Ray —That was a while ago.

  Leave granted.

Senator WALTERS —I thought I would wait until the end of the debate. Senator Ray believes I should have done it earlier. Perhaps I should have. He made the comment that I had claimed that there was some sort of pressure put on Mr Bolton by the President. At no stage did I claim that. Senator Ray knew that I did not. He knew that the only interjection I had made was: why did Mr McLeay not take responsibility for his own action? That is all I have said and that is all I continue to say.
