Senator COOK (Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Shipping and Aviation Support) (4.21 a.m.) —To pick up the last point, it is not the Commonwealth's intention to privatise Comcare. I congratulate both honourable senators who have spoken on their remarks. I might single out Senator Grant Chapman for special praise and mention. He has performed a stunning act tonight, one that is breathtaking and awe-inspiring in its simplicity and almost persuasive in its argument. I admire his action. I will quote it far and wide as a principled and sensible reaction in the circumstances. Regrettably, I am not persuaded by it, but at some other time I might be. I commend the Bill to the Senate.

  Question resolved in the affirmative.

  Bill read a second time.

  The Bill.
