Senator MICHAEL BAUME —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

  (a)notes that:

(i)there are 53 government documents listed for examination by the Senate on 17 December 1992 in the 30 minutes made available for that purpose, and

(ii)many of these relate to significant matters, such as annual reports of the Australian Securities Commission and the Australian Pork Corporation, both of which are of special interest to the Prime Minister (Mr Keating), along with reports from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Australian Sports Drug Agency, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Privacy Commissioner, Australian Heritage Commission, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation and many others; and

(b)regrets that proper scrutiny cannot be given to these important Government documents because of the volume of documents being presented to the Parliament so late in the sittings.
