  The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN (Senator Zakharov)—Order! The question is that the Bill, as amended, be agreed to. Those of that opinion say `aye'; to the contrary, `no'. I think the ayes have it.

  Senator Crichton-Browne—Madam Temporary Chairman, I raise a point of order. The point of order I take, and the only way I can say this, is let it be recorded that we provided, retrospectively, pairs, because Government senators cannot keep the House and the Government's people have gone home without pre-arranged pairs.


The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN —Order! There is no point of order. The question is that the Bill, as amended, be agreed to.

  Senator Campbell—Madam Temporary Chairman, on a point of order: I want to stand up for the rights of Senator Powell, who wanted to have her amendments recommitted to this Committee. Will she be doing what she said seven minutes ago and having her amendments considered by this Committee?
