Senator PARER (12.47 a.m.) —The two major areas of employment of those on State awards in Victoria are, allegedly, the clerical sector and the retail industry. Is it a fact that unionisation in those areas would not exceed 10 per cent? If so, is it not also a fact that to have employment agreements overridden by Federal awards, which can be sought by unions who represent a very small segment of those employees, would be clearly discriminatory?
