Senator BELL (12.01 a.m.) —Senator Kemp has put a direct question to me and I will give him a direct answer. We were provided by Senator Parer with a translation of the Victorian coalition's election promise. I did not write down exactly what Senator Parer said, but he said it quite strictly and with a lot of emphasis on each word. I think he said—I wrote it down shortly after—that the primary focus of the industrial relations policy will be on the contract between worker and employer, or words to that effect.

There was no mention in what Senator Parer gave us as a summary of the Victorian coalition's policy of that which shocked the electorate after the election. There was no mention there of the IRC, the poll tax or the leave loading. Senator Kemp is fiddling about with things other than that which Senator Parer gave us as a summary of the Victorian coalition's promises.
