To the Honourable the President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled. The Petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth that:

1. Previous changes to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme have led to financial and medical hardship for Australians.

2. These changes to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme have also led to financial difficulties for Australian Pharmacists.

3. The Government intends to further change the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, further jeopardising the viability of Pharmacists and leading to even greater hardship for all Australians, particularly in rural areas.

Your petitioners request that the Senate, in Parliament assembled, reject these further changes to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and protect the interests both of Pharmacists and the wider community.
