Senator HARRADINE —by leave-I suppose those who were listed to speak in this debate would have already done, as I have done, a good deal of preparation for the debate. I understand what Senator Hill has said on behalf of the Opposition and that the Government has made some statement through the Prime Minister (Mr Hawke) in the House of Representatives. As Senator Hill has said, this is a matter that will not go away. I think we should learn lessons that we have not learnt up to now. It may be necessary to give notice of a motion tomorrow in relation to one particular aspect of this question, but that will be on a particularly narrow aspect of the whole question which I would otherwise have been happy to debate this afternoon.
