Senator CRICHTON-BROWNE(6.27) —I will not pursue it any more. I will conclude by saying that I noticed that Senator Button made the point that the advantage of having part of the operation located in Sydney is so that those who do not need to be in Jabiru can be in Sydney. It is not without significance to note that in 1985-86 when there were 65 permanent employees in the Office of the Supervising Scientist travel took up $400,460 out of a budget of $5.535m. The Minister is telling me that people are living in Sydney because there is no need for them to be up in the Northern Territory. There is an enormous amount of travel between Sydney and the Northern Territory.
