Senator POWELL(10.09) —I inform the Committee that the view of the Australian Democrats on this group of amendments is that they are in fact consistent with the major thrust of all of the Opposition's activities on this package of Bills; that is, to limit, as far as possible, those activities which are available to Telecom. We believe this, as we believe of many of the others, is an unreasonable limitation. We therefore do not support the amendments.

Amendments negatived.

Bill agreed to.

AUSTRALIAN POSTAL CORPORATION BILL 1989
