Senator MACKLIN —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

(a) recalls its previous unanimous support of the fact that the Australian Government does not recognise de jure the incorporation of the 3 Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania into the soviet union;

(b) notes with approval the decision of the USSR's Congress of People's Deputies to set up a commission to investigate the secret clauses of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact which paved the way for the soviet union to forcibly annex the Baltic republics; and

(c) wishes the work of the new Commission well and, along with many Australians of Baltic origin, eagerly awaits its report.
