The PRESIDENT —Because the Senate has decided that today it will continue sitting not only through the usual lunch break but also through the usual dinner break, it will not be possible for the Hansard reporters to report the proceedings in the usual way. As from 6.30 p.m. the proceedings will be tape recorded and the Hansard report will be prepared from tape recordings. This will mean that the typescripts of senators' speeches, or pinks, will not be available until tomorrow morning and that the daily Hansard for today will be printed tomorrow night instead of tonight.
