Senator COOK (Minister for Resources)(10.10) —Perhaps the only thing I need to do is to reply to Senator Austin Lewis's concern on a question of policy, as he sees it, and to answer the issue that has been raised in substance as to whether or not the proceedings of the Senate Regulations and Ordinances Committee have been properly reflected.

Senator Lewis —I am not suggesting they have not been. You have fulfilled the undertaking of the Minister.

Senator COOK —I understood the honourable senator to say that if there was any doubt he would ask for a member of the Committee to come here and say so. I indicate for the record that, if there is any doubt as to what we are doing, the necessary correspondence can be adduced and presented to the Senate. Although I do not think that will be necessary, the correspondence does exist and I can exchange it.
