Senator TATE (Minister for Justice)(8.04) —I think that 248 (a) (2) is merely directed to make it clear that the particular activity of a news reader, or a sports commentator, or of somebody carrying out the task of appearing to convey or broadcast the usual information, does not make them performers for the purposes of the Bill. That provision is put in only to make it clear that what those commentators do is not otherwise covered by the term `performance'. I think we exhausted the other matters before dinner.

Amendment agreed to.
