To the Honourable the President and the members of the Senate in the Parliament assembled. The petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth:

That certain Trade Unions are currently forcing employers and employees to join union-controlled Superannuation schemes through industrial blackmail, thereby extending the Unions' economic power and at the same time infringing individual rights.

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that the Government:

(i) Guarantee that Occupational Superannuation is a matter of individual choice

(ii) Declare illegal industrial standover tactics which force people to join superannuation schemes controlled by, or sponsored by trade unions.

(iii) Protect those companies and their employees who establish their own superannuation arrangements at the enterprise level.

(iv) Ensure that union or industry-based schemes are not disguised pay rises by providing that employees must also make contributions.

(v) Provide that control of the funds of such schemes is vested in the elected representative of the contributors to those schemes

(vi) Oppose any backdoor attempts at achieving compulsory unionism.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
