Senator GRIMES (Minister for Community Services)(9.35) —Basically, there are three forms of respite care. There is respite care in the carer's home. That is what we really mean by community respite care. There is respite care in day care centres, which can be for three or four hours a day, or more. Both of those can be funded under the home and community care service. Then there are the respite care beds that we provide in nursing homes and hostels. They certainly can still be funded, but they are funded under different legislation.
