Senator ROBERT RAY(11.36) —I have been listening to the debate. I did not make the sort of claim that Senator Walters said I made; I made a claim in relation to another point. It is not true that all money spent by Ministers on the entertainment of people from overseas, or other people, comes from the Government. I know that many Ministers dig into their own pockets to pay for much of the entertainment. When they do that in the future, none of that will be tax deductible. In fact, the people in the community who will be hit most by any of these tax measures are the Ministers. Given the way in which their salaries and allowances are made up, they will have to pay the most-far more than back benchers or any other section of the community-looking at it on the basis of percentage of disposable income.
