Senator RYAN (Minister for Education)(9.00) —The application from Radford College to expand to years 11 and 12 is being treated in exactly the same fashion as every other similar application throughout the country. A new schools committee has been set up locally and has met to consider new applications, of which Radford's is one. I understand that at this stage it has not made a recommendation with regard to Radford. I think there are several others awaiting recommendations. When the local committee does make its recommendation to the Commonwealth Schools Commission, those recommendations will go to the Commission along with recommendations from State committees throughout Australia. Advice will come to me from the Commission in about January next year. Decisions will be made then. So Radford is in exactly the same position as every other non-government school throughout Australia seeking a similar expansion. It will receive its decision at the same time as all others-in January 1986.
