Senator Reid —I am wondering whether the Minister can say when the statement of the Minister for Territories relating to a change in government arrangements for the Australian Capital Territory will be brought into the chamber. It was presented by the Minister for Territories to a Press conference yesterday when in fact it could have been brought into the Senate so that the shadow Minister would have had an opportunity to respond.

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT —Order! This is a question on the composition of the list of papers tabled, is it?

Senator Reid —It is not on the list of papers tabled; it was a ministerial statement--

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT —It is not a subject for debate at the moment. The honourable senator has asked her question.

Senator Reid —I just want to know what is happening. It is very important to the Australian Capital Territory. It is a matter on which the Federal Parliament has to make a decision.

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT —Order! It is not subject for debate at the moment. Senator Grimes may answer if he wishes.
