Senator RYAN (Minister for Education)(10.53) —Senator Michael Baume raised the lack of opportunity to discuss Senate committee reports and he also made some criticisms of the Government's approach to the reorganisation of the Australian Bicentennial Authority. I will refer both of those matters to the appropriate Government sources. Senator Tate made some very detailed and incisive comments about the proposals from the other side of the chamber to privatise a number of our institutions, but in particular the Commonwealth Bank. I am sure that Senator Tate's constituents will be very gratified that he has made the points that he has, and made them so lucidly.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Senate adjourned at 10.53 p.m.
