Senator TOWNLEY —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

1. aware of the growing disquiet amongst both the financial community and the general community about the degree of indebtedness of Australia;

2. recognising that Australia's indebtedness is growing at an incredible rate; and

3. certain that unless the pattern is reversed that the living standard of all Australians will continue to fall,

calls upon the Hawke socialist Government to develop and announce to the people of Australia a financial master plan to reverse the trend, including a reduction of Government spending as quickly as is practical, and the shelving of all unnecessary new Government plans that involve additional expenditure for the period of the years it will take to save this country from financial ruin.
