Senator WALSH (Minister for Finance and Acting Minister for Resources and Energy)(10.40) —I apologise for not responding to this matter at the end of the second reading debate. The answer is that the Commonwealth has no control over the matter. It is a matter to be determined by the New South Wales Government and the company. I am also advised that New South Wales is in the process of setting up a price stabilisation scheme-I do not think that is quite the right name-as a result of which it is anticipated that increases in the next two years will be minuscule and are not expected to be large in the longer term. I cannot be more precise than that. It is not a matter over which we have any control, anyway.

Bill agreed to.

Bill reported without amendment; report adopted.
