Senator REID(6.15) —One of the statements that appeared in the article I referred to in relation to Bowen Island-I do not know whether there is any substance in it-was that one of those people who had been involved in the lease for some 30 years alleged that the tenants would squat on the island. If they were to do that after 31 December, could we be assured that they would have the same rights to camp on Commonwealth property as others around Canberra are being allowed, or would these people be bundled off? Why are some people, such as the Vietnamese a few months ago, bundled off Commonwealth property when others are allowed to stay there?
