Senator BUTTON (Minister for Industry, Technology and Commerce)(5.53) —No deal has been done with the Premiers of the various States; there could not be and will not be at any stage. In so far as Comeng-Vickers is concerned, there have been discussions about the project with that company, but not over a cup of coffee-we did not have a cup of coffee; it was not the right time of day. Those discussions have taken place, as they have taken place with a variety of other companies. I come back to the point I made: Two tenderers have been selected for the contract. They have made arrangements with various other companies in Australia-that is their business. It is an open tender and the results remain to be seen.
