Senator WALTERS(11.49) —Senator Vallentine answered the question I put to the Minister, but I would like the Minister to find out the factual situation, if he would be so kind. It is obvious that Senator Vallentine would know more about the authenticity or otherwise of Senator Grimes's statements that people are seeing Reds under the beds. I congratulate her in pulling out the Reds that were under the beds of her Party. I thought that she took a very courageous action when she pulled out the Reds under the beds of her Party for identification and moved away from them. I am sure that both she and honourable senators on this side of the chamber would be very concerned if money went to the groups that she identified within her Party. Indeed, she acknowledged that such groups would undermine the security of Australia. Senator Grimes's flippant assessment that the community no longer sees Reds under the bed is not accepted by Senator Vallentine, who has lately proved that it does occur in regard to all members on this side of the chamber.
