Senator BOSWELL —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

(a) notes that the Federal Labor Government's proposal to outlaw legitimate business expenses will cause great hardship to many small businesses, not only in the restaurant industry, but in many other small businesses that are unable to afford expensive advertising campaigns and, instead, rely on personal contact to promote their product;

(b) notes that this proposal presents the Australian Democrats with an opportunity to do something effective for small businesses; and

(c) calls on the Australian Democrats to join with the National and the Liberal parties and reject Labor's anti-small business taxes.
