To the Honourable the President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled.

The petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth: that we oppose the introduction of the Child Care Amendments Bill 1985, on the grounds that the proposed amendments to the Child Care Act 1972 will result in a serious lowering of standards in the quality of care available to Victorian children.

Your petitioners most humbly pray that the Senate in Parliament assembled should: vote against the Child Care Amendments Bill 1985.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
