Senator Sir JOHN CARRICK(9.23) —I ask the Minister for Finance (Senator Walsh) whether he has replies to the questions I asked earlier. I asked two things of particular significance. In the three years of the Hawke Government and at Estimates Committees, is it not a fact that the Minister gave assurances that there were no vital or highly significant radioactive problems at the atomic test sites that were not being dealt with? Is it a fact that each time I questioned the Government, it gave reassurances about the maintenance of those sites? In view of the fact that a bibliography of tests on flora and fauna is given in the Estimates Committee list, does that bibliography confirm that there were no vital defects in flora and fauna at any of those sites over the years covered by that bibliography?
