Senator COATES —I seek leave to make a brief personal explanation. I claim to have been misrepresented.

Leave granted.

Senator COATES —I have seen yesterday's Hansard, which wrongly changed what I said yesterday in answer to an interjection from Senator Missen. I was originally reported as saying: `I am sorry, Senator Missen. I thought we wrote back to you quite fully about this matter'. Hansard changed that to read: `I apologise to Senator Missen'. I did not apologise to Senator Missen and I did not intend to. I guess I intended to say: `I am sorry to have to contradict you'.
