(Question No. 54)


Senator Archer asked the Minister representing the Special Minister of State, upon notice, on 28 February 1985:

(1) On what occasions did a Federal Minister or members of a Federal Minister's staff travel abroad between 1 April 1983 and 1 February 1985.

(2) What places and organisations were visited during the travel abroad.

(3) On what date did each Minister depart from Australia and arrive at each of the places visited during the travel abroad and on what date did each Minister and associated staff members return to Australia.

(4) What private sightseeing deviations or trips were undertaken in conjunction with the official travel.

(5) Was each Minister accompanied by his/her wife or nominee.

(6) What were the names and classifications of persons associated with the Minister's travel abroad referred to in parts (1), (2) and (3).

(7) What sum was spent for each individual in respect of each visit abroad for (a) travel, (b) accommodation, (c) other associated and incidental expenditure and (d) total expenditure.
