Senator BOLKUS(7.33) —I do not wish to take up too much time in responding to Senator Vigor's remarks. I should like to make two very quick points. The first one, although trivial, is in respect of Adelaide Community and Educational Television. I never claimed that it was set up with the purpose of subverting the Special Broadcasting Service, but its activities at the time of crucial decision-making period for the introduction of SBS into Adelaide were such that, if successful, they would have undermined the introduction of that service there.

With respect to Donald Chisholm, I stand very much by the substance of the allegations that I made yesterday. It is my belief that on the basis of his own confessions in newspaper articles and other material that I have seen, Donald Chisholm should not have an entitlement. His position with respect to the ACE Television Board was one of such close proximity that he should have precluded himself from obtaining the job, considering also the fact that under the stated aims of the community employment program he was not in one of those categories of persons who should have been given priority.

In respect to the second aspect, the unemployment benefit, I do not feel that I have been swayed at all by Senator Vigor's bombastic defence this evening of a very close ally. I shall just wait until the Government investigates the matter and the right course is taken.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

The PRESIDENT —Before the Senate adjourns, I advise honourable senators that Estimates Committee A will meet in the chamber and that Estimates Committee B will meet in committee room No. 6. Prior to the sitting of the Committees the bells will be rung for three minutes.

Senate adjourned at 7.35 p.m.
