The Clerk-Petitions have been lodged for presentation as follows:

Veterans' Entitlements Legislation

To the Honourable the President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled. The petition of the undersigned respectfully showeth:

That the Government did not honour its promise to consult with veterans before introducing the Repatriation Legislation Amendment Bill.

Your petitioners most humbly pray that the Senate in Parliament assembled should oppose any sections of the Veterans' Entitlements Bill which would have the effect of reducing benefits to veterans and war widows and which seek to change the onus of proof and the assessment of T.P.I.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
