The PRESIDENT —I inform the Senate that I have received the following letter, dated 11 September, from Senator Short:

Dear Mr President,

Pursuant to Standing Order 64, I give notice that today I propose to move-

`That, in the opinion of the Senate, the following is a matter of urgency:

The actions of those militant unionists whose defiance of decisions of the Conciliation and Arbitration Commission may force the Dollar Sweets Co. Pty Ltd into closing its operations in Australia, and the necessity for the Government to take urgent action to have the dispute resolved.'
