To the Honourable, the President and the members of the Senate assembled: The petition of the undersigned respectfully shows that to pose a broadly-based consumption tax would mean a proportionately greater burden on low income groups and increase poverty stricken victims already existing within Australia.

Petition against the proposed issue of indirect consumption taxation.
