Senator HARRADINE —I seek leave, Mr President, to make a statement, because I am not too sure where we have reached at present.

Leave granted.

Senator HARRADINE —Am I correct in the understanding that Senator Chaney's motion will be the subject of debate this afternoon?

Senator Grimes —Yes.

Senator HARRADINE —If that is so, then the matters about which I am moving disallowance will be matters either to be referred or not to be referred to a committee, as the case may be.

Senator Grimes —That is correct.

Senator HARRADINE —In that event I move:

That Business of the Senate, Notices of Motion Nos 1 and 2, standing in the name of Senator Harradine and relating to the disallowance of regulations be postponed until the next day of sitting.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
