(Question No. 40)


Senator Bolkus asked the Minister representing the Treasurer, upon notice, on 22 April 1983:

(1) What moneys have been expended since 1 January 1976 in the Minister's areas of responsibility and what moneys are being planned to be expended in the following areas:

(a) computer hardware and software; and

(b) repairs and servicing of computers.

(2) When was expenditure incurred in each of the above categories.

(3) Which items purchased above are now obsolete or will be so in the next five years.


Senator Walsh —The Treasurer has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

(1) and (2) Moneys expended in the Treasurer's area of responsibility since 1 January 1976 and planned to be expended in 1983-84 are as follows:
