(Question No. 741)

Senator Macklin asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce, upon notice, on 23 March 1984:

(1) Is the Minister for Industry and Commerce aware of legal action currently underway in Queensland against small printing businesses which produce pegboard style accounting systems.

(2) Is one such small printing company, one to which the Minister gave a small business award last year and whose products have been displayed by the Minister' s own Department.

(3) What support is available to such small businesses which are the subject of such action by large companies.

Senator Button —The answer to the honourable senator's question is as follows:

(1) Yes.

(2) Yes.

(3) I have advised the company that I have referred the matter to my colleague the Attorney-General for his consideration.
