Senator JONES —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

(a) expresses concern and regret at the threatened introduction by the Queensland Government of industrial relations legislation specifically designed to create divisions in the Queensland community by deliberately attempting to provoke and intimidate the trade union movement during a period of exceptional industrial peace; and

(b) urge, the Queensland Government to consider the damage such legislation will inflict on that State's already ailing economy and the needless confrontation it will generate in the community and abandon it forthwith.
