Senator BUTTON (Leader of the Government in the Senate) —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate notes the fact that the Hawke Labor Government inherited the worst economic situation since the Great Depression as a result of the mismanagement of the Fraser Government and as a result of which it has been unable to carry out immediately the commitments which it made in the course of the 1983 election campaign.
