Senator WALTERS —I direct a question to the Minister representing the Minister for Health. Has the Minister for Health instructed the Health Insurance Commission to issue its own receipts to patients who are claiming reimbursement from Medicare of payments to doctors? Has this been hastily arranged following a flood of complaints from Medicare staff who were illegally retaining doctors' receipts? Has the Minister publicly announced the procedure? If not, why not? What are the details? Will patients be able to receive their own receipts, which are legally theirs, from their own doctors?

Senator GRIMES —I do not know. I will find out.
